In times of crisis, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Seva Bharati has emerged as a beacon of hope, conducting numerous service programs to provide relief to those in need. Inspired by Seva Bharati, countless individuals have selflessly served their communities. To honor these community heroes, Seva Bharati Delhi organized a special recognition program for both individuals and organizations.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh graced the event as the chief guest. In his address, he lauded Seva Bharati for its relentless efforts in uplifting needy classes. He emphasized that these initiatives are pivotal in re-establishing India as a Vishwaguru (world teacher) and advancing towards an inclusive society. Singh urged both the government and citizens to contribute to the development of an inclusive society, appreciating the dedication of Seva Bharati workers to the principles of Ekatma Humanism and Antyodaya.
Singh highlighted the foundational role of Balasaheb Deoras in establishing Seva Bharati, further strengthened by leaders like Bhaiyyaji Joshi. He noted that the RSS not only builds the nation but also the individual, attributing modern communication methods and language to the Sangh’s influence. Seva Bharati, he said, exemplifies achieving the seemingly impossible through organized efforts, contributing significantly to both individual and national development.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Saha Sar Karyavah Alok Kumar also spoke at the event, asserting that service is the key to eradicating social inequalities. He called on all sections of society to engage in service, describing it as a divine program. Kumar mentioned the Seva Samman awards, which honor those dedicated to service, and expressed hope that the number of awardees would increase in the coming years.
Kumar suggested that such programs should be held on a larger scale, potentially at venues like Nehru Stadium, to inspire more people. He referenced ancient scriptures, stating that helping others brings merit, while causing harm is sinful. Seva Bharati, he concluded, embodies the spirit of personal service and harmony, continually working towards a just and compassionate society.
Through the tireless efforts of Seva Bharati and the recognition of community heroes, India is on a path to becoming a Vishwaguru, fostering an inclusive and harmonious society.
