In the quiet village of Loyapally, where dusty roads blend into the sounds of everyday struggles, lives a little girl with a heart far bigger than her size. Her name is Lasya, a 5th-grade student with an unstoppable spirit.
Lasya was born without a left forearm. But what she didn’t have in limb, she made up for with resilience.
Her days begin not with play or ease, but with responsibility. She helps her mother with household chores, washes utensils, sweeps their small home, and stands strong for her family. Both her parents work as daily wage laborers, and her elder brother requires daily insulin for his diabetes. Amidst all this, Lasya never complains. She just moves forward, quietly and bravely.
Instead of letting life slow her down, she found her rhythm in running. She found her strength in kabaddi. One arm, but endless courage. She started winning medals. Her name echoed in local competitions, not as the girl without a hand, but as the girl with an incredible heart.
And then came a day that changed everything.
In April 2025, Lasya received her first-ever artificial left hand. A life-changing moment gifted by the Srivasta Nrusimha Palaparthi Morampudi Foundation, founded by Sri Palaparthi Ramesh Garu. The moment she wore it, there was a spark in her eyes. She looked at her mother, smiled softly, and whispered, “Now I can do even more.”
It was more than a prosthetic. It was a symbol of belief. A sign that someone cared enough to lift her higher. A new beginning wrapped in kindness.
Lasya’s story is not just about overcoming disability. It is about discovering ability through love, support, and hope.
