Tirupati Foundation has taken a significant step towards women empowerment by donating sewing machines to the 2nd and 3rd batch trainees of the Skill Development Center run by Valmiki Awasam – Seva Bharathi. This initiative aims to equip women with the skills and tools needed to achieve self-reliance through tailoring.
On October 26, 2024, certificates were presented to the women of the 2nd and 3rd batches of the free sewing training center operated by Valmiki Awasam in Jagityala. This event marked an important milestone in their journey towards skill acquisition and financial independence.
Moved by a video of the event, Jallela Kiran, originally from Gullakota and currently residing in Qatar, was inspired to contribute to the cause. Kiran donated six new sewing machines, purchased with her own funds, to six needy women who had completed their sewing training. The donation was facilitated through Kiran’s brother, Srinivas, under the auspices of the Tirupati Foundation.
This thoughtful gesture by the Tirupati Foundation highlights the transformative power of community-driven initiatives and skill development programs. By providing practical support, the foundation is enabling women to build a sustainable future for themselves and their families.
A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the Tirupati Foundation for their generosity and support. Best wishes to the women who received the sewing machines—may this assistance serve as a stepping stone towards greater independence and success.
