While volunteering is always a great experience, at Kishori Vikas, Durga found herself and got empowered for the future. People started Kishori Vikas for different reasons, ranging from community service to creating a direct humanitarian impact. This new opportunity at Kishori Vikas created opportunities for Durga to fine-tune her existing knowledge base and add new capability sets.
Amid academic studies and community service, Durga took herself as a volunteer and maintained good grades. Her dedication made her stand out; she graduated with 86% in her B.Sc. degree. By harnessing her passion and determination, she became skilled in computers, which translated into awesome communication skills and the ability to coordinate people, which opened doors professionally.
Durga used her work to motivate those around her and inspired her sister to excel in her school studies. For all those who asked, Durga always mentioned her mother as her only source of inspiration. While Durga’s mother, as Kishori Coordinator, teaches Durga the meaning of purposeful dedication and empowering girls.
With the constant support of Seva Bharathi and the determination that made Durga step into her profession with great confidence. When she began her career as an HR Trainee at Shell Infotech, she proved to everyone that hard work and determination can turn dreams into achievements.
