Many children are born deaf and mute. If such children receive medical treatment on time, they can learn to speak properly, but the treatment is quite costly. Most families cannot afford the treatment for these children, and a deaf and mute child born into a poor family lives with this condition for life.
To help some children from such underprivileged and neglected families gain the ability to hear and speak, Seva Bharati, Delhi, has launched a campaign called “Vaani.”
For this, Seva Bharati has taken a great initiative in collaboration with the ENT Department of Max Hospital (Saket). Under the leadership of Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva, Head of the ENT Department, medical camps will be organized at various locations to identify such children. Following this, with the support of society, these children’s surgeries will be performed free of charge.
