On the occasion of Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary, a new library was inaugurated today at the Chatravas for Nomadic Tribes in Hyderabad, thanks to the efforts of Kumari Akharsha, an 8th-grade student from Hyderabad Public School. Akharsha generously contributed her pocket money to set up seven libraries. Her efforts were recognized and encouraged by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his “Mann Ki Baat” address.

The newly inaugurated library, which is the 16th in the Chatravas, houses books in both Telugu and English, with 250 books in Telugu and 150 in English.

Prominent figures who graced the event include:

  • Smt. Padmaja, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri (Rachakonda Commissionerate)
  • Sri K. Naveen Kumar, Excise Superintendent of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District
  • Sri Praful Chandra, Retired Librarian, IFLU
  • Prof. Rajani, Retired Professor, IFLU

Several elders from the community, including Sri Sesha Sai and Sri Ravindranath, also participated in the inauguration ceremony.

Sevabharathi, a key organizer of the event, continues to focus on empowering and educating marginalized communities like the Nomadic Tribes. By establishing libraries in these communities, they are helping to foster a love for learning and reading, opening new doors of opportunity for the youth.

The initiative, supported by both the local community and well-wishers like Akharsha, is a step forward in providing educational resources to those in need, making a lasting impact on future generations.
