Govt Schemes Taken up by Sevabharathi

A Successful relationship

Sevabharathi is an NGO registered under the society act working for the betterment of the people around in the slums, tribal hamlets and the remotely unaccessible areas. Involving all the people concerned who so ever for the sustainance of the program.

Sevabharathi has taken up Govt schemes to suppliment Govts efforts in the empowerment & upliftment of the needy. Right from the Best available schools scheme to the CAPART aided Awareness campaign for the Primitive Tribal Groups the CHENCHUS. Here is the brief of the schemes and a brief of the impact and beneficiaries.

Residential Bridge schools For Child labourers (DPEP) - Mahaboobnagar

The mahaboobnagar district has the highest migrating labour force. And Sevabharathi could influence the parrents to leave their kids with us for the next 15 months so that the children now would be students and not labourers in the far off palces with out pay. 252 children are now enjoying the fragrance of the slates, playful lessons and alphabets. Supported by DPEP – GOI the effort shall be replicated else where in 2 other mandals.

Proddutur Child labour school:

The Child labour school in the Proddutur town is one of the successful initiatives replicable. With 132 children ie., 32 more than the allocated number the school stands different by a sustainable smooth and solaceful educational model. Running for the 7th consecutive successful year the school also has now taken up voccational education and counseling for the parrents and the employers as well. Record 622 children have been streamlined.

Awareness campaign for the Primitive Tribal Group Chenchus: (CAPART)- Gokavaram

The tribals of the nallamalai CHENCHUS (PTG) have been largely benefited by the scheme. Moving away from the traditional structure based activity concept Sevabharathi has reached the hamlets, 30 of them attending to their problems supported by CAPART (GOI) Min of Rural Development. About 177 Chenchus have attended the camps all of them just with a little of education have been inspired and motivated by the series of 8 camps each 7 days. As a follow up to the scheme Sevabharathi independently has taken up education in the gurukul play ful model for the Chenchu boys at Gokavaram a tribal hub. Also there are 3 one-teacher schools and 2 voccational-training centers run by the tribals themselves thanks to the continuous efforts of our volunteers.

Education Guarantee Scheme (EGS) – DPEP (Asifabad And Lokeswaram Mandal)

The EGS Scheme also an effort of eradication of child labour but a non-residential in nature has been instrumental in bringing back literacy to the 500 and odd children of the Adilabad dist. The Asifabad and Lokeswaram are the 2 mandals aloted for sevabharathi. The children here are now in mood to move ahead.

The Best available schools scheme: (Department of Social welfare)

Sri Valmiki awasam –Jagityal:

The Hostel with a mission to impart literacy to the illiterates in the never to school houses has now 32 children who have been benefitted with the Scheme. Its about 11 years now and the children have been benefitting the scheme standing at the top ranks in the school, the Geetha vidyalayam. Has been a point of appreciation for the local people and the Public representatives.

Ekalavya Ashramam-Sevabharathi – Mancheryala:

The tribal hostel with 55 tribal children from 20 surrounding villages and hamlets has been selected for the scheme with 41 children being benefitted and proving their mettle in the all round performance. The scheme has been continuos since 1992.

Voccational training Centers (ROTARY Club): Nandyala

The Rotary club of Nandyal has funded the Stiching center, being run by Sanghamitra awasam of nandyal for the past 2 years. Till date 5 batches with 30 beneficiaries in each batch have been trained and most of them (55) are earning their living through the training they received. A Total of 27 sewing machines have been given to the genuinely needy women.


Income generation scheme through Dairy development in Flourosis affected areas (CAPART):
- Marrigudem

The Income generation scheme in the Flourosis affected areas of Marrigudem village had a reason to smile as Grama bharathi the rural development wing of sevabharathi took up the cause. About 40 smalll time farmers and poor people carefully selected have been provided with cows and are now self reliant and full of smiles. The scheme now is self-sustaining with the rotation of the paid loans of the buffaloes back. The amount is being given to other more needy so that they too can feel the thrill of successful self-reliance.


Alternative School Education - DPEP: Nandyala

The slums of Nandyal have a beckon of hope to rely with the new school alloted to Sanghamitra a destitute home of Sevabharathi. The school running now for over a few months has brought enough confidence in the people as to make their interest flow in streams. Now the 90 children of the slums have 2 teachers and the mid day meal scheme is more than just meals. It means a live education session without the hunger threatening them.


Environmenmental upkeep of village-- kollampally: (CAPART)


The Scheme is to work out ways to preserve the environmental hygiene and green belt of kollampally in the Draught hit district of mahaboobnagar. Grama bharathi a rural development wing of sevabharathi is working overtime to ensure the peoples participation for sustainance. Not just building public toilets and drainage but bringing the villagers and youth in, to upkeep and maintain the systems.
