MODUS OF OPERANDI Our volunteers well versed with local language and working knowledge of Hindi / English will be available near the out patient token counters.
In normal course an out patient chit contains the name, age and brief history of ailment. On the bottom of the slip it is mentioned where the patient is referred to. As soon as a patient comes out of the counter, his first concern will be to find out the given address and they will look for help.
Here, Sahayoga Bharathi volunteers come into play/action. As soon as the individual; approaches them, they will give the correct location if the room, if needed they will accompany them to the Doctor.
Sahayoga Bharathi presently working at 3 Government Hospitals in the twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad for the past year and half. With this experience, keeping the need/requirement/demand would like to reach to more and more Government Hospitals wherever it is possible.
Normally, our office bearers will approach the Superintendent/RMO of the Hospital concern and get their concern before establishing our help desk near the out patient token issuing counter.
Government is doing its best, but there is a lot more vacuum to be bridged. NGO's can/will play a vital role to bring such gap in such non-medical services.
We are also having the blood donors list. The volunteers who enroll themselves at our awareness camps, will be contacted by our office and blood will be arranged wherever is possible. We are aiming to reach out more and more people. We would like to conduct more and more blood awareness camps to cater the needs of people from all walks of life.
There is a misconception across the society that they are lack of facilities and infrastructure in Government Hospitals. There are facilities, but very few are utilizing and few of them exploiting them.
Sahayoga Bharathi is also working with like minded organizations like ROGI SAHATHA TRUST which is also serving in Government Hospitals to caters the medicinal needs of the in patients.
Sahayoga Bharathi would like to engage more and more volunteers in the presently working 3 hospitals and would like to reach all Govt. |
